But what research could have told you that LOLcat, Starwars kid, dancing baby, Techno Viking, Leeroy Jenkins, 2 Girls 1 Cup etc. would work?Even Craigslist shouldn't work. This is the intertube, things don't make sense here, never have and never will.

The problem here is the federal reserve which kept interest rates low and made huge incentive for the banks to speculate. If someone hands you a million dollars are you going to be responsible and give it back saying: "No, this will hurt the economy", I'd like to see a digg user do that. I see Hypocrites... everywhere! They don't know they are hypocrites! This guy Chris Martenson puts the whole thing into perspective:http://www.chrismartenson.com/crashcourse

I think the simple act of testing positive for a drug should not be a fireable offense. If you want to smoke up before and after work, be my guest, there should be no issue with doing that from a job market perspective. If an employer doesnt want you intoxicated on the job, that is their pejorative. @Averness - that really is not a long-term solution. Right now if you are a smoker and want to avoid being fired you need to find jobs that don't test or don't test regularly, but long term it should not be a fireable offense unless you are messing up on the job from being intoxicated(just as they can do with alcohol, despite it being legal to consume).I also think tobacco smoke breaks are ridiculous, but that is another topic entirely.

That's absolute *****. The iPhone single handedly killed WAP browsers on phones, gave us visual voicemail, centralized App Stores, and incorporated a bunch of other stuff, like Multi-touch and the accelerometer, technology that while not new, had never been seen on a phone before. The iPhone also made large flash storage and large screens, the new standard for smartphones. If that doesn't make the iPhone iconic, what the ***** does a company have to do to be considered iconic? And I'm tired of hearing about this "open" ***** and Microsoft. Most people don't like Microsoft because they make crappy software. Period. No one cares about Microsoft being "open," except in those instances where you can't avoid their software, like at work (Word, Excel, etc). But that "open" crap, at least the way you say it, sounds good to geeks, but most people don't even know what it means. So the geeks might digg your comment for the "stick it to the man" tone, but at the essence, what you said is just baseless Anti-Apple rhetoric, which has no bearing why people actually like the phone.

Hasn't it occurred to anyone other than myself that it would be extremely useful scan an external drive or data share commonly used by Window's machines for possibly harmful files, regardless of the 'Mac's can't get virus' ... or can they' arguments? |
