If people stop buying the iPhone, the result will not be to fix the app store, but rather to kill the app store. No iPhone business, no app store. I understand you might prefer an open platform for various reasons, and that's great for you, but switching phones as you propose is hardly a solution to fixing Apple's app approval process. What's that expression ... throwing out the baby with the bathwater ...?Let's also note that closed platforms can also make huge contributions to technology. The iPhone is a great example of that, as it was way ahead of its competitors when it was released and very quickly set the bar for other handset makers. Now we're 3 years after its initial release and everybody is still aiming to produce the "iPhone killer". Even on the recent droid handsets, the positive influence from the iPhone is obvious.As for the topic - the app store - I suspect that the negative feedback Apple is getting from developers will force them to fix the major problems with the approval process and also make it more transparent. In fairness to Apple, an online app store at this scale is a first of its kind, still now, so it's not surprising that there are plenty of wrinkles in it.!

Reviews are relevant to people who love cinema, but not so much for those who just looks for easy entertainment. I don't think a movie like Aguirre would appeal to the audiences who go see 2012, even though Aguirre holds a score of 97% on RT while 2012 holds one of 39% currently. |
